Ingrid’s story
Ingrid was just a normal girl, living a normal life in her small town. She had her friends, she went to school, and she dreamed of the day when she would marry her true love and live happily ever after.
But then one day, everything changed. Ingrid’s parents died in a car accident, leaving her all alone in the world. Her only relative was her Aunt Gertrude, who lived all the way across the country. Aunt Gertrude told Ingrid that she was going to have to come live with her and that she would have to marry Jack, a man twice her age that Aunt Gertrude had chosen for her.
Ingrid was heartbroken. She didn’t want to leave her home, and she certainly didn’t want to marry Jack. But she had no choice. She packed up her belongings and said goodbye to her friends, moving to Aunt Gertrude’s house across the country.
A few months after Ingrid arrived at Aunt Gertrude’s house, the wedding took place. Ingrid was miserable on her wedding day, feeling like she was being forced into something she didn’t want. She went through with the ceremony though, vowing to herself that she would never love Jack – no matter what.
Fortunately for Ingrid, Aunt Gertrude died a few years after the wedding and left Ingrid a sizable inheritance. With this money, Ingrid was able to buy back her freedom and divorce Jack. She left him with nothing but the clothes on his back and moved back to her small town, where she lived happily ever after.
Jack’s story
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Ingrid. She was arranged to marry a man named Jack. Even though she didn’t want to marry him, she had no choice. Her parents had arranged it and she had to go through with it.
The wedding took place and Ingrid became Mrs. Jack. She wasn’t happy about it but she knew that she had to make the best of the situation.
A few months after the wedding, Ingrid became pregnant. She was happy about this, even though she knew that the child wasn’t planned.
A few months later, Ingrid gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She named him John.
John grew up and eventually got married himself. He had children of his own and Ingrid became a grandmother.
Even though her life didn’t turn out the way she planned, Ingrid was happy in the end. She had a loving husband, a beautiful son, and a wonderful family.

Ingrid’s escape attempt
Azalea is a beautiful but poor girl who was forced to marry Jack, a wealthy widower with two daughters, in order to save her family from ruin. Jack’s ultimatum
When Ingrid’s parents died, she was left with no one to care for her. She was taken in by her aunt, who was not the most loving of women. Ingrid was made to do all the work around the house and she was never allowed to go outside and play with the other children. One day, when Ingrid was out fetching water from the well, she met a boy named Jack. Jack was kind to her and they became fast friends.
When Ingrid turned 18, Jack came to her and told her that he loved her and wanted to marry her. Ingrid’s aunt overheard their conversation and told Jack that Ingrid was betrothed to another man and that he would have to leave or she would call the authorities.
Jack gave Ingrid an ultimatum: Either she married him or he would leave town and never come back. Ingrid didn’t want Jack to leave, so she married him.
Ingrid’s decision
In medieval times, Ingrid’s parents arranged for her to marry Jack, a wealthy lord. Though Ingrid did not love Jack, she had no say in the matter and was forced to marry him. On their wedding night, however, Ingrid made a decision that would change her life forever. She refused to consummate the marriage and instead ran away with another man, with whom she was truly in love.
The wedding
On March 12, 2004, Ingrid, an 18-year-old girl from Guatemala, was forced to marry Jack*, a 23-year-old man from Canada. Ingrid’s father had arranged the marriage as a way to settle a debt Jack owed him.
The wedding took place in a civil ceremony in Guatemala. Ingrid did not want to marry Jack, but she felt she had no choice. She was scared of her father and thought he would hurt her if she didn’t go through with the wedding.

The aftermath
The aftermath of Ingrid being forced to marry Jack was.. disastrous. She was completely miserable and felt like she had no choice in the matter. She didn’t love him, and she didn’t want to be married to him. It was a complete nightmare.
Ingrid’s new life
Ingrid is forced to marry Jack, a man she barely knows. She leaves her home and family behind to start a new life with him in a strange land. Ingrid is terrified, but she knows she must make the best of her situation. With time, she comes to love Jack and their new life together.
